MEET THE PASTORS
Dr. Jon A. Haywood Sr
Dr. Jon A. Haywood Sr. is the Founder and Senior Pastor alongside his wife, Dr. Gloria Haywood, of Center of His Will Christian Faith Center in the city of Rancho Cucamonga, California. Dr. Jon began working in the ministry preaching off the back of a pickup truck evangelizing in the city of Pomona to those in need of God and His saving grace. Dr. Jon has a heart for people and truly has the revelation that God is in love with humanity. His love for ministry and church started at a young age when he heard God speaking to him during a communion service. At the age of 8 years old, he testifies that he heard God say, “You will be the giver of the bread.” 34 years later those words became reality.
Center of His Will Christian Faith Center was birth in prayer as Jon and Gloria Haywood were praying and the Lord said, “Center of His Will.” In obedience, in June 1995, Jon and Gloria Haywood opened the doors of their home and he preached the first message. Dr. Jon has served in many capacities of ministry. He can usually be found working with men in Men’s Ministry or in a Worship Team. He has been known for his ability to create new love songs to God. The musician would play the piano and Pastor Jon would “sing a new song unto the Lord.” Every service would be different, and every song would be new.”
Jon Haywood Sr. is also an Associate Marriage and Family Therapist. Jon Haywood Sr. has been a pastoral counselor for over 28 years. He is experienced in counseling children, individuals, couples, and families. He seamlessly integrates his knowledge and experience of theology and psychology. In addition to counseling families for over 28 years with Center of His Will Christian Faith Center, Jon Haywood has also worked for Aegis Medical Systems as a case manager. He counseled individuals struggling with various drug addictions and is currently preparing to retire from San Bernardino County Behavioral Health Department working with the severely mentally ill as a Clinical Therapist 1. He will continue in the capacity of Pastoral Counselor as he joins Healing Logos Christian Family Counseling.
Dr. Jon Haywood Sr earned his D.Min. in 2005. Throughout the years he and his wife have counseled countless couples together. Both Dr.Jon and Dr. Gloria returned to school to integrate the Theology with the Psychology, graduating with his MS in Marriage Family and Child Counseling in 2017. He is a member of the California Association of Marriage and Family Therapists” and L.A.M.P.S. (Leaders, Apostolic, Mentoring, Prophetic Seminars) where his Apostle Dr. Beverly “BAM” Crawford is his overseer.
In his spare time, he is anticipating visiting some of the sports events of his grandchildren. He also enjoys spending time with his family and he plans to enjoy a vacation or two.
DR. GLORIA D. HAYWOOD
Dr. Gloria D. Haywood is the Founder and Senior Pastor alongside her husband, Dr. Jon Haywood Sr., of Center of His Will Christian Faith Center in the city of Rancho Cucamonga, California. Dr. Gloria Haywood began working in the ministry as a Sunday School teacher when she was 19 years old. Her love for learning and teaching unfolded through the various positions she served, such as dean of CHW International Bible Institute, training ministry leaders, founding W.I.S.E. Women Ministry (Warriors Infused Spiritually Excelling), Blossoming Relationships Experience; annual speaking engagement teaching Lay Counselors how to counsel those who are experiencing domestic violence. During the pandemic, Gloria Haywood served as Adjunct Professor in the clinical psychology department at Azusa Pacific University where she was an alumnus. With 28 years of Pastoring, God has graced her to impact lives crossing ethnic, cultural, and gender lines. Her desire is to see people experience the abundant life of the spirit, soul, and body.
Gloria Haywood is also a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, passionate about seeing lives changed and relationships healed, built, and restored. Her specialty is relationships. Her mantra is “With God, Marriage Works.” She works diligently with couples who are serious about getting their marriage off the rocks, and onto a solid foundation. She counsels both Christians and non-Christians. She understands issues both women and men face and is compassionate and curious to hear her client’s story. She skillfully integrates biblical principles and psychological interventions to empower her clients in becoming their authentic selves. She has a unique way of creating a safe haven for her clients to hear and be heard.
Dr. Gloria D. Haywood earned her D. Min, and Ph.D., in Professional Biblical Counseling in 2005. Both Dr. Gloria and Dr. Jon returned to school to integrate the Theology with the Psychology, graduating with her MA in Clinical Psychology in 2012. She authored, “The Psychological and Spiritual Impact of Debt in American Christian Families. She is a member of the California Association of Marriage and Family Therapists” and L.A.M.P.S. (Leaders, Apostolic, Mentoring, Prophetic Seminars) where her Apostle Dr. Beverly “BAM” Crawford is her overseer. Gloria Haywood currently has a thriving private practice, Healing Logos Christian Family Counseling, Inc., in Rancho Cucamonga, California.
In her spare time, she enjoys expressing her creative side through writing, graphic design, or decorating, and spending time with her husband of 31 years and their family and close friends.
BRUCE HAYWOOD SR.
Bruce W. Haywood Sr. is the Assistant Pastor at Center of His Will Christian Faith Center, Inc.
Pastor Bruce Haywood is married to Pastor Jaynell Harris Haywood for 49 years, they have 4 children.
He accepted the Lord at the young age of 16. He began working in the ministry as a young man. Bruce graduated from Pomona High School and married his high school sweetheart, Jaynell Harris.
He later attended and received a Bachelor’s in Biblical Studies and Master’s Degree in Biblical Counseling from Friends International Christian University. Bruce Haywood attended CHW Bible Institute and was one of the professors.
He also worked in the communications industry where he retired after 36 years. He is highly respected by young and older men.
His love of God’s Word is his strength.
JAYNELL HAYWOOD
Jaynell Harris Haywood is the Assistant Pastor at Center of His Will Christian Faith Center, Inc.
Married to Pastor Bruce W. Haywood Sr. for 49 years, they have 4 children.
She accepted the Lord as a child.
Graduated from Pomona High School and attended and received a Master’s Degree in Biblical Studies, from Friends International Christian University.
Attended the University of Phoenix and received a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management and a Master’s in Business Administration.
She taught CPR and First Aid, HIV/AIDS awareness for the Red Cross for over 20 years.
Pastor Jaynell was the Athletic Director for the Junior All-American Pomona Steelers for 6 years.
She is the Sunday School Department superintendent for Center of His Will and has taught school-aged children for over 50 years in Sunday School, Sunshine Band, and Vacation Bible School.
Pastor Jaynell wrote and co-authored policies and procedures for one of her employers to enhance the continuity of workflow throughout the organization.
Pastor Jaynell has worked in the nursing field for over 50 years and her passion is working with the elderly and those who can’t provide care for themselves.
DR. DARNELL BANKS SR.
Dr. Darnell Bank Sr., a Southern California native, grew up in Bakersfield, California. He received his education at Burgess High School. He received his AA in Computer Science and Business at Bakersfield College. He is a military veteran. He received his Master of Biblical Studies and Doctorate from Friends International Christian University.
Dr. Banks received his formal ministry training under the direction of Drs. Jon and Gloria Haywood, Center of His Will Christian Faith Center. He has attended the annual Lamps Conference under Apostle Dr. Beverly “Bam” Crawford for the past 20 years. He has worked in the capacity of the Men’s Ministry Leader at Center of His Will under Dr. Jon Haywood Sr. He is married to his wife Janice for
30 years. Dr. Banks is the father of 4 adult children, 16
grandchildren, and 5 great-grandchildren. Dr. Darnell Banks enjoys jajanwebtraveling, photography, and spending time with his family and friends.
DR. JANICE BANKS
Dr. Janice Banks, a Southern California native, grew up in Compton, California. She received her education at Centennial High School, West Los Angeles City College, and Cal State Dominguez Hills. She received her Master of Biblical Studies and Doctorate from Friends International Christian University.
She received her formal ministry training under the direction of Drs. Jon and Gloria Haywood, Senior Pastors of Center of His Will Christian Faith Center. She has also enriched her spiritual life by attending the Lamps Conferences founded by Apostle, Dr. Beverly “Bam” Crawford for the past 20 years. She held the position of Women’s Ministry Leader (W.I.S.E. – Women Infused Spiritually Excelling) at Center of His Will under Dr. Gloria Haywood. Dr. Janice Banks is married to her husband Dr. Darnell Banks Sr., for 31 years. She is the mother of 4 adult children, 16 grandchildren, and 5 great-grandchildren. Her favorite thing to do is travel and spend time with her grandchildren.
